A few notes from last week's longsword class.
We revised our current suite of cutting drills, the Mastercut exercise and the first posture exercise. We added a second posture exercise: Start with left foot forward adopting each posture in turn while saying its name.
- Zornhut (Sword over right shoulder pointed at the ground behind)
- Wechsel (Sword pointing at the ground at about 90 degrees from the body)
- Nebenhut (Hands near the hip, sword pointing backwards)
- Pflug (Hands near the hip, sword pointing at opponent's face).
Repeat with right foot forward.
We then completed the plays from Vom Tag, including the Counter.
