Music session - 12th June 2017
Present:
Sympkyn of the Moor, hammered dulcimer
Katherine of Glastonbury, harp
William de Cameron, tenor recorder
Elena y Delyn, bray harp
Tunes played:
Tonight we revived as many Old Measures as we thought we could:
Black Almain - still playing it slower than it could be but it's probaby at the low end of dance-able speed.
Lorrayne Almain - not too bad.
Earl of Essex Measures - pretty much fine.
Madame Sosilia's Almain - needs a bit of work.
New Almain - coming along, could do with a polish.
Then we reverted to Bransles:
Pease Bransle - getting more and more familiar, pretty good mostly.
Washerwoman's Bransle - old favourite.
Scottish Bransle - likewise.
**Announcement**
As of next week, music sessions will take place on Tuesdays rather than Mondays. Same venue (email me for address), same time (7.30pm - 9.30pm).
Newcomers are welcome :)
Regards,
Elena y Delyn
