Jubilate Deo
An easy warmup.
Laudemus Virginem and Splendens Ceptigera
Revisited this pair, to keep them fresh, and help memorising them.
As I me walked
All four verses, and more solid on the words to later lines now.
La Tricotea
This continues to improve - good work, William and Vettoria! We're typically starting on C now, a tone lower than previously (but still higher than written), as it makes the top line easier for Katherina (the highest notes aren't terribly high, but there are a lot of them).
Alle Psallite
Moderate-speed, fast, very fast, very slow; at various pitches; and all good.
Stella Splendens
Coming on nicely.
We're fleshing out the plan for each person to learn (and memorise) a few of the verses. One voice can sing the words and another can vocalise the other line; or all can vocalise or hum quietly.
We sang it several times very slowly, which has helped to clarify the complicated bits.
Adieu, Adieu, my heartes lust
Much better than last week, and sounding lovely. We may sing it at the Bloth.
O my heart
Always a nice way one. This time William took the bass line, and Katherina the tenor.
Ave vera virginitas
Just to make sure we don't forget it.
Change then for lo she changeth
Likewise, just keeping it fresh.
Once we'd finished singing, we listened to the entire Red Book of Montserrat on one of Katherina's CDs. The conclusion: we want to learn them all, starting with Polorum Regina.
Present: Katherina Weyssin, William de Cameron, Katherine of Glastonbury, Vettoria di Giovanni
