April 23rd was our last class before a short break, so we spent the evening in social dancing, by request, instead of formal teaching. As it happened, all the dancers there were very experienced, so we had plenty to choose from.
Part way through we decided to see how many dances we could do, accurately, without teaching or reference to notes, in half an hour. We got to 27, with about half the time spent finding music (though we cheated a bit: only one or two repeats of short branles). The "half hour challenge" is in italics in the list below.
It was lots of fun, and a good confirmation of what we know (and don't).
