The carrier pigeons have arrived from the sacred palace in Ynys Fawr bearing the news from Crux that Lady Caterine de Vantier is to be the next Blue Lymphad Herald.

Emrys to fight his Guildmaster's prize
Ildhafn's own Don Emrys Tudor will attempt his Guild Master's Prize at the upcoming Roway Festival. Lord Guildmaster Francois Guyon made the announcement yesterday (19/02) on the Lochac fencing list:
Seeking a Reeve! (applications close today)
Applications are currently open for the positions of Baronial Reeve.
Applications have just closed for Seneschal, Herald and Marshal (on the 14th), and will close for Reeve on Sunday (the 17th).

Potluck Dinner after A&S This Sunday
Since we have visitors coming from out of town, and to give people who didn't make it to Canterbury Faire an opportunity to catch up on the goings on from there, there will be a potluck/takeaway dinner following A&S this Sunday, the 10th at William and Catalina's place, until 10:30 or thereabouts. The kitchen and BBQ will be available for cooking, and there is an excellent chippie just around the corner.

Council Meeting - 20th of January 2013
Council Meeting this month will be held at Caterine's (Beach Haven) after A&S Sunday on the 20th of January 2013 at 7.30pm.
There will be time after A&S to leave and get dinner before the meeting will start officially.
Council members please send your reports to the Council list before the meeting.

A&S this Sunday at Caterine's
Arts and Sciences for the next three Sundays (6th, 13th, & 20th of January), will be at Caterine's house in Beach Haven. It will run from 2-6pm, as usual, with singing from 4pm.

Apologies for the short notice, but there will be no A&S today, the 16th.
Normal service should resume on the 22nd.
Event report: St Catherine's Faire
St Catherine's Faire was as full as ever this year, with a visit from Their Majesties, Henri and Beatrice, lots of visitors from out of town and from other re-enactment groups, two tournaments, a splendid feast, many A&S classes, a ball, singing, a vigil and a laurel ceremony, late-night campfires and of course a great deal of good company.
The weather was kind to us: a little windy on Friday, and ever so slightly damp on Sunday, but perfect for most of the event.
